Why have a website? This is the question I ponder and will try to answer as I welcome you to AnsarOrthospinal Hospital website.
The obvious answer is that as a hospital Ansar needs a website to disseminate information. This is very crucial when you have the capacity and capability to provide solutions many are otherwise unaware of. Few people are aware that a wide range of Spine problems are safely and successfully operated in Nigeria. The dearth of information is worsened by the rather unclear and obsolete rules about advertisement.
You are thus welcome to AnsarOrthospinal website which seeks to make you aware that certain specialized surgical services covering spine surgery, Orthopaedics and Trauma including joint replacement are available in your ‘backyard’.
You can save yourself the hassle of seeking contact abroad, visa stress, your loved ones not having easy access to you at critical times, poor follow up and heavy expenditure. Its not all about affordability, its about value for money.

There are 11 en-suite rooms (private wards), two consulting rooms, laboratory and Physiotherapy center, a procedure room and an X-ray room, a reception and a theatre complex.
The theatre complex comprises the main operating area and a recovery room, sterilization room, scrub area and a changing room.
The theatre is well equipped. We have two Image intensifiers and a mobile X-ray machine as back up.A modern remotely controlled radio-lucentoperating table complement these.
The hospital is served by a bore-well through overhead water tanks.
A 27KVa power generating set is augmented with solar charged DC power supply.
We have a wide range of instrumentation that can address almost 90 percent of common spine problems. We have already done quite a number of surgeries in these areas:
Anterior Cervical Spine – Discectomies, Corpectomies and Plating.
Posterior Cervical Spine – Laminoplasty, Lateral Mass Screw Fixation and Occipito-cervical fusion.
Thoracic spine – Decompression and Pedicle screw fixation. We commenced correction of scoliosis in 2016.
Anterior Lumbar and Thoracic spine. We have instrumentation and implants for cages.
Posterior Lumbar – Routine Laminectomy, Pedicle screw fixation, PLIF and TLIF.
We also have magnifying loupes to aid decompression.

Who We are
AOH is equipped to deal with routine and complex fractures, complications arising from treatment elsewhere (both traditional bone setters intervention and orthodox care complications), deformity correction, arthroplasty especially knee and hip replacement. Our latest flagship service is in the field of Spine Surgery, encompassing degenerative spine problems, Trauma and deformity.
